Group Visits

Book an educational, entertaining, and curriculum-aligned learning experience tailored for your students in your classroom or at any Clarington Library, Museums, and Archives location. Foster a lifelong love of reading with a Storytime Experience; get familiar with your local library through the Library Tour Experience; learn about local history with a Museum Tour Experience; explore digital resources, research tools, and STEAM learning with the Everything But Books Experience; or let us bring the Library to You at your next group or community meeting!

Please follow the steps and fill out the form below, and a staff member will contact you shortly to discuss your visit!
 

Step 1: Choose Your Library Visit

Library Tour Experience

Book a tour of the Bowmanville, Courtice, Newcastle, or Orono Libraries! Staff will show you around the library, highlight areas that are relevant to your group, and issue library cards. Available for any age or group and tailored to your unit of study or interests. Plan to be at the library for 30-45 minutes.

Museum Tour Experience

Book a tour of Sarah Jane WIlliams Heritage Centre! Staff will show you around the museum and highlight areas that are relevant to your group. Available for any age or group and tailored to your unit of study or interests. Plan to be at the museum for 30-45 minutes.

Library Storytime Experience

Book a storytime at any library location! Staff will tailor a storytime to any age or type of group and to your unit of study or interests. Plan to be at the library for 30-45 minutes. Book talks or chapter readings available for older ages.
Optional: add a library mini-tour!

Everything But Books Experience

STEAM, eBooks, and genealogy, oh my! There are so many new things to enjoy at the library. Customized to any age or group, staff will show your group how to use library resources to the fullest. Plan to be at the library for 30-60 minutes depending on the range of resources of interest to your group.

Library to You

Let us bring the library to you! Staff will bring a customized visit for your group to your location. Plan for a 45–60-minute visit depending on the topics of interest to your group.

Note: If selecting the Virtual location option, please provide the platform of your choice (i.e. Zoom, Google Classroom) in the Additional Information field.
 

Step 2: Library Card Forms (if applicable)

Educators are encouraged to distribute library card applications to your students prior to a class visit. Print off the Library Card Registration form here, and make copies to distribute to your students.

Please note: a parent or guardian must sign these applications and completed applications should be submitted to the us at least one (1) week in advance of your visit so that they can be ready for the visit.
 

Step 3: Fill Out the Booking Form
