Maker's Space & Studio Bookings

Clarington Library, Museums & Archives is proud to announce the new Maker's Space, and the updated Studio, are available for members to use. Both spaces are available for drop-in use, but equipment for each space can be booked via this form.

Please review our use policies, and any training or waivers we may require, prior to booking any equipment.

Internet Access Policy

The Maker's Space is located at our Courtice Library. Drop by to check it out, or ask staff questions. Individuals can also reach out to our Digital Literacy Specialists via email at makerspace@cplma.ca or phone at 905-623-7322 x2735.

Availability

The Maker's Space operating hours as of March 25, 2024 are:

Sundays Closed
Mondays 1:00pm to 5:00pm
Tuesdays 12:00pm to 8:00pm
Wednesdays  12:00pm to 4:00pm | 5:00pm - 8:00pm
Thursdays  12:00pm to 8:00pm
Fridays  10:00am to 12:00pm | 1:00pm to 5:00pm
Saturdays  10:00am to 12:00pm | 1:00pm to 5:00pm

 

The Maker's Space may close at any time for:

  • Equipment being booked, and if member certification is required (ie. 3D Printers)
  • Equipment Availability
  • Digital Literacy Specialists' Schedules
  • Holidays
  • Regular Maintenace
  • Regular Library Programming and Staff Development

To ensure the desired booking date and time is available, please submit requests a minimum of 48 hours in advance. Submissions made on weekends could take longer to process depending on our Digital Literacy Specialists' schedules.

Desired booking times are not guaranteed. Please wait for confirmation from staff to ensure availability.
