About the Project

"Golden Tales: Chronicles of Our Community" is an initiative aimed at curating a treasury of stories and portraits contributed by local seniors (aged 55+) about their personal histories of life in Clarington.

The project's goals include forging social connections, igniting inspiration through interviews and events with older adults in Clarington, and acquainting seniors with the process of digitizing and preserving their oral histories.

The Golden Tales collection will be featured on CLMA's website, in a print booklet, and will be catalogued and preserved through our digital archival collection for the enjoyment of the residents of Clarington, now and always.

Please see our Golden Tales page for more information.

This project is generously supported through the Province of Ontario's Seniors Community Grant.
